I understand the B. Obama is a big proponent of Coal to Crude because
the state of Illinois has a lot of Coal. I do not know where H. Clinton
or J. McCain stands on the issue.

Certainly I wonder if this is like the housing thing, in that there are
too many speculators that are not real users of the product. Remember
when electricity prices were high because of speculators.

Sure makes for a spendy Memorial Day weekend.

I guess I do not see cheaper prices anytime soon after Bu$h went to
Saudi asking them to pump more oil for us and the King said "we would
but there are no buyers". Tells me that the Hedge fund guys are driving
the prices and not the actual demand. Demand is down here in the USA but
China demand is way up.

Also, our reserves are at a record, almost 800mil last I heard which
represents a 98% capacity.

I think that "if" we all made the decision to just not use gas for a
week "if" we could get 50% of the people in this country to plan a week
of no usage then things would be different.

1-20-09 will end the nightmare and begin a new one.
Let's face it, our current govt is the cause of all our problems.
