Hello Folks @ 3000-l,
Re: HP3000 - Max socket connections
-----------------------------------------------------Born, Ken wrote--
Greetings, What is the max sockets on the HP3000 using Berkeley for a
single program? 128 ? 256 ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The maximum listening sockets per a single program is 512 increased to
4096 in available patches:
5.5 NMCFDN3 Site Specific patch
6.0 NMCGD11 General Release patch
6.5 NMCGD12 General Release patch
7.0 NMCGD88 Beta Test patch
This increase is as per SR 8606-129395.
This value can not be configured in NMMGR, it is a non-edited field in
the NMCONFIG file. This value is displayed with :nettool.
:nettool.net.sys;info="status;tcpstat;tcpglobal @;quit"
...
Maximum number of sockets allowed : 4096
I hope this helps.
