You do not get a migration path to a Corvette, you get a nameplate change
and the Chevy Camaro becomes a Pontiac Trans Am. It gets 8 times the gas
mileage of the Camaro, but the instrument panel is different and there are
no seats. :)

Wait, I see how this works. Since you didn't buy your Camaro new, and either
directly from Chevrolet or through their dealer network, you aren't actually
a customer of Chevrolet.
And since the group that made the Camaro only gets money from the sale of
new Camaros, while all the money made by servicing them goes elsewhere, the
group can't meet its numbers.
Obviously, the Camaro ecosystem has eroded.
I wonder if all the current Camaro owners got a colorful brochure from
Chevrolet offering them a migration path to the Corvette.
