You certainly can use this printer as a system printer on the 9x9. You can
even use it as an HPIB printer. HPIB interfaces work on the 9x9 - although
not supported by HP.

If you prefer, you can change the interface on your printer to RS232 and
connect it to one of your DTC48s - both which will continue to work as
before on the 9x9.

If you wish to change the printer interface to RS232, I don't have the
supplier or part number handy with me, but I'm sure many on this list can
offer it to you.

Incidentally, you can use the same HPIB interface card from you 947 in your
9x9.

I know about the HPIB and 9x9 issues because of the experiences of Steve
Dirickson and Ken Sletten which they shared with us some time ago.
