Astrid,

I second the recommendation that you join the PowerHouse ListServer.
CAUTION: the list software does not accept messages in MIME format. I found
out the hard way when I tried to re-subscribe to the list, after a long
holiday, and found that my company had moved to sending MIME emails only :((

You should have been supplied a CD with the Series 8 manuals on it. CAUTION:
the installation routine tries to load version 3 of the Acrobat Reader onto
your PC. Suggest that you get 'Adobe Acrobat Reader + Search version 4.05c
from the Adobe web-site. You can use perform searches across all the
reference books (open the Menu.pdf file first). Makes life easier :>

Subject: Re: Hp3000 Powerhouse QUICK: Searchpath

Hi Astrid,

May I recommend the PowerHouse Listserver for your query?

Below you'll find the way to subscribe to that list (much less volume than
this list).

But the PowerHouse documentation is easily available if just you have access
to the
internet.

Point your browser to www.cognos.com

In the search-box enter 'manuals' and click on Go

Item 14 approx. should be Cognos PowerHouse Documentation - click on it

Scroll down to PowerHouse Books 1.2 and click on the underlined:
'Download the self-extracting zip archive (18.4MB)' and you'll get the
phbooks.exe file that launches the installation of all the manuals in
pdf-format
just like that.

Your question: Yes - the 'procloc' function is still in the HP 3000 UDCs. We
used this
feature years ago - but haven't done so since - but my guess is that it
still works the
same way.

Hope this helps.

/With kind regards Hans-Ole Kaae
