Hi Connie

 From your description of what they are asking for this doesn't sound 
like a "lift n shift" migration, but rather a re-write by people who 
have very little in way of HP3000 knowledge. In which case I'd probably 
plan on being around for a while, and make sure your 3000 is well 
fettled. Re-Writes have a nasty habit of taking way longer than planned 
or usually being complete failures, for which they will probably try to 
engineer that the blame and cost fall on your organisations shoulders.
