Although ldev 10 is really only a pseudo-type device, you need to get
around the LLIO error so that ldev 10 is recognized.

The problem appears to be related to the path you have configured.

The fact that the system is complaining about path 4.1.7 suggests that you
have it pathed to a single-ended SCISI controller.

In SYGEN I/O, if you issue the following LP commands, you will discover
similar to the following:

LP 4.1 - will probably indicate device id PSEUDO
LP 4 - will probably indicate device id HPA1741A, which represents a
SINGLE-ENDED SCSI controller, which supports only 7 devices (id's 0 thru 6).

You have 2 choices.

1. Choose a pseudo device other than one ending in 7 on that specific
controller - assuming you have an available spare. (You will also need to
add the appropriate id=pseudo path.)

2. Choose a completely different PSEUDO path for this PSEUDO device, even
if it does not really exist. For example, configure the following paths:

AP 8 id=A1703-60003-SCSI
AP 8.1 id=pseudo
AD 10 path=8.1.0 .......... (This is your pseudo-streams device)

The above assumes that there is no real device at path 8 (and below).

Option 1 might be easier, although option 2 is more flexible if you used up
all available SCSI addresses on your existing controller.

Of course, you then need to SHUTDOWN, START NORECOVERY, and all that.

Hope that helps.
