If you choose to RESTORE with the KEEP option, you could run into some
difficulties - unless you are careful.
If you're going to do that, you run the very real risk that one or several
files that should reside on ldev 1 will stray away from ldev1.
This could cause you some serious grief the next time you boot your system
- which could be some time later.
So, if you are going to choose this alternative, upon completeion of
restore, I would immediately create an SLT tape, then perform an UPDATE
CONFIG from it. This will place your ldev1-required files on ldev 1. Of
course, you will the need enough contiguous disk space on ldev 1 to perform
a successfull UPDATE CONFIG. Failure of the attempt will require another
reload.
If you really feel a reload is required, I would suggest an INSTALL,
followed by a RESTORE WITH the KEEP option.
