Pat,
No you don't --- you don't want this...Remember that MPE will *delete* all
records read from the file. Even the use of FCOPY will kill the contents
of the file, unless read with a specific FCONTROL option invoked (what
that is offhand, I'm not sure and I don't have LaserROM loaded right
now)...
I work around this by actually using FCOPY to copy the contents out to a
regular, ASCII file (which deletes the records), then copying the file
back, restoring the contents. I can then safely FTP the new file and get
the contents. A bit of a pain in the posterior, but a workaround
nonetheless...
