As Larry Barnes has mentioned, we attended a regional Users' Group meeting
in Spokane last week (is this the meeting you are referring to?), and the
analysis service that was offered was for $50,000. This was represented as
a half-price deal, i.e., this service would normally have been $100k.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but at a user group meeting
last week, HP told the users that they will offer HP3000 -> HP-UX conversion
analysis for $500k. Not conversion, but just analysis.
A retired HPSE said he would do it for $150k.
Sounds like someone is trying to make money off this. Oh yeah, they also
told the users that buying a A400 or N was a waste of money.
Who is telling the HP employees that go out and meet customers to say this
kind of garbage?
