As an Interex member, I would hope to hear something official from the
Board very soon, even if it's just "this isn't the whole picture, but
here is what we know".

Remember that this affects more than just the old "Interex"
conference. Interex recently folded the HP9000-focused Interworks
conference into HP World about 3 years ago, and it just felt the same
axe.  The Interworks conference peaked at about 1200 attendees, but it
was a worthwhile conference for people using HP UNIX platforms for
technical work (CAD, science, etc).

Was the Compaq user conference also done this way, or are they still
doing their own thing?
