Hi,

we installed a 9GB Disk (ST19171) a week ago. There were some problems with the installation (no details about this, because it would become too long :-(), but it is now running well (not as ldev 1, of course).

Before you install the disk, you should make sure, that you have the correct patches installed.
You can check with HP-CRC or look in iodfault.pub.sys for the entry ST19171..... If the entry is in iodfault, you should be able to make the disk work.

Kind regards

Klaus Franke

I'm told that the 9Gb discs cannot be used for booting an HP3000 but that
they "may" in the future.

Does anyone know if this is true and if so over what time-scale is it
planned to make the 9Gb disc a bootable device?

Many thanks for your help.
