Jerry correctly pointed out the VOLUTIL CONTIGVOL will not be helpul in
general disc defragmentation. This is because it was only designed to help
with FREE SPACE defragmentation, but if I understand the originial question
correctly, this is exactly what is needed (contiguous free space).

So, this time it seems that VOLUTIL CONTIGVOL is a perfectly valid choice.
