LIBCRAND is a library provided by HP. It is not on your system?
What version of MPE are you using? I don't recall when the
POSIX Developer's Kit got bundled, but make sure it got installed.

Alternately, you can try the link with -nostdlib and manually
include -lc to get the C library.

Also, the /usr/local/bin/ld script has -debug turned on ... did
you do that? If not, edit that script and delete that keyword.
