          SUBJECT: HPDARPA

We have discovered that if we run HPDARPA with the 'debug' option turned on,
users cannot connect. If 'debug' is omitted from the start command for
HPDARPA, there are no problems. Does this mean I can't debug it because debug
has bugs? This doesn't make any sense to me. I installed two Allbase patches
in April - SQLHX47 and SQLHXF2, so that is where I am as far as versions go.
The error the user gets when trying to connect is: ODBC - connection failed.
Using ODBS, the connection to the specified SQL database or table couldn't be
made. If the SQL database is on a network drive, check to make sure the
network is available, and then try the operation again. If HPDARPA is stopped,
then restarted without debug, the problem goes away.

Thanks for any insight you may have.

Thank you.
