So you agree with what I said , basically.
The US is unpopular in Iraq.

------------------

No, I don't. I am closer to agreeing with you now that
you scaled down your remarks from 'they hate the US', to
'the US is unpopular'.

I think the people there are uncomfortable with the US
being there, but prefer us to Baathist occupation, or,
for that matter, occupation by Iran. I don't think
anyone is ever comfortable with a foreign power
occupying their country, no matter how benevolent.

I think there is a significant contingent that are
unhappy with the US taking 10 years to finish the job.

More "head-in-the-sand" statements.

Yep, this guy has his head in the sand.

Are you deluded? Look at this excerp.

Because we have a long history of overthrowing governments and installing
puppet regimes in their place. For all the talk about Democracy, the US has
a long history of backing dictators, such as Batista, Marcos, the Shah, and
so forth, who oppressed their people for the benefit of American
corporations until their people rebelled and regained their freedoms. Then
the US labels those freedom fighters as "terrorists" to try to regain
control.

Batista? These people regained their 'freedom' under Castro?
Marcos? They preferred the Japanese?
the Shah? So they now have freedom in Iran now?

Is this guys a hold over from USSR or what?

This article says the US started meddling in other countries
business after WWII. True. He neglects to point out the
efect technolog had on US Isolationism. No longer could the
USA depend upon two oceans to be the barrier it was, and that
is what it is all about.

This one presumes we waged war on Iraq due to an alleged
involvment in 9/11. The reasons were due to violations
of UN 1441.
