Wow!
No one has mentioned this, but the way I understand it is that specifying
the @ will let any node on the network attempt to connect to the HP3000.
This can be VERY significant in terms of security. For example if you have
an HP3000 in a campus administration environment putting an @ sign in could
open up the system to the Internet.

If you are forced to do this I would highly suggest that you reevaluate your
current security implementation. I have been looking for a token based
security package for the HP3000 but have not found one.
