Its been a loooong time.....  We use to trick programs in batch to
think there were on-line and then route the screen I/O.  That's
no longer possible I believe.  The purpose of screen routing in VPlus was
so one could do interactive debugging and not get the debug info/commands
inner-twined with the block-mode screen activity of VIEW.

I think you'll probably have to run the program on-line at 12:01 am on
1/1....
