To all,

        I am always in awe of the knowledge and breadth of participation on this list, whether on-topic or not.  However, I'm saddened when I see someone as bright as you all are attacking any single person, by name (or inference), on this list.

        If we are to regain the civility this list truly deserves, then we need to stop LIST emails that are directed at any one person (unless, of course, they are full of praise!).  I can personally say that some of our comrades are more given to negative rhetoric than others, however, engaging that negative rhetoric in an attempt to quell it is, at best, counterproductive.

        We are all well aware of how to conduct ourselves, so let's.   :-)
