I personally have no problem with the omission of MPE from the list. From
my experience MPE has just supported a lot of business while other
technologies have been evaluated. I have seen success with other
technologies
but a lot more failures.

The variety of technologies listed in the survey indicates the "Chaos" that
exists in the industry today. My experience has shown that business is
selecting a technology and attempting to implement a solution rather that
selecting a solution and deciding which technology best fits the solutions.

Technology today is like a wave crashing on the beach, the current wave
appears to be the best until it crashes, then there's another wave of
technology
to take its place. In today's world of constant technology change, where
should a business invest its long term dollar?
