I'm trying to determine if I can configure my HPe3000s to monitor a
non-"HP Powertrust" UPS, via the network and shutdown gracefully when the
UPS only has a limited period of battery life left, very similar to what I
do with Powerchute on my AAPC UPS Systems. We've also been able to
configure a single Compaq Server to monitor the UPS and a series of other
Compaq Servers to monitor the one that watches the UPS and to get their
"shutdown Q" from it. Can I do anything like this from my HPe3000 Servers
(even if third party software is required)?

Thanx,
