You can perform an ABORTJOB based on the accessing of a file by doing
this:

ABORTJOB ACCESSING=<FILENAME>

That should cover it.

Subject: VESOFT QUESTION

Hi, I would like to know how to determine the session #
corresponding to a file being accessed.
In doing so, I can log off those people at night that prevents
me from backing up files because they forgot to log off.

here is what I have so far

WHILE VEFINFO("ACCESSED-FILE").OPENED DO

SETVAR OPER , VEFINFO(`"ACCESSED-FILE").RETURNED-SESSSION
# what attribute is
RETURNED-SESSION #

ABORTJOB #S!OPER

PAUSE(5)

END;
