What file type are they?  It wouldn't surprise me that some file types
which aren't supported on MPE/V (Like NM KSAM files) may not be storable in
TRANSPORT mode, but I haven't tested this.

Do these files happen to be large?  Say above 500 MB?  If so, then the
problem is that TRANSPORT is designed to create STORE tapes which can be
read by an MPE/V "classic" system.  MPE/V only supports 32 or fewer extents
in a file and the extents have to be 65535 sectors or smaller, which gives
a maximum possible file size of just under 512MB.

P.S.  MPE/iX (nee MPE/XL) has always supported files up to 2GB and has for
quite a while supported files up to 4GB.
