A while back there was a post which implied that Windows 95 clients would
not be able to "see" SAMBA/iX if the Windows 95 client uses a hosts file.

Is this in fact the case?  What about if the SAMBAi/iX server system is
placed in the lmhosts file?

Also, a question came up as to whether the Windows 95 client would be
able to see the SAMBA/iX server if they were on different segments of a
routered network.  Anyone know the answer?
