Depending on where you are on the control/complexity curve, a couple
of options are
  Write a service that listens for the data from the 3000 and writes
it to the file. It has to be a service if you want it to always run
independently of who is/isn't logged on to the NT box
  Write the data to a file on the 3000, and ftp the file to the NT box
at appropriate intervals
