I refer you to www.pelrmonks.org, an online Perl developer community.
When I was learning Perl, it was invaluable, and still is. I'm sure
you'll be able to find some enlightenment there... after all, the
motto is "TAMTOWTDI" (There's Always More Than One Way To Do It)
