Hi Folks,
I am having a problem with a 918LX recognizing a DDS-3 HPC1554A tape
drive that I just replaced a DDS-1 with and would welcome any advice
concerning its configuration or testing. The system is on 6.5.
I did some research on the HP3000-l archives, but nothing I have tried
seems to allow the drive to be recognized during bootup. One of the postings
indicated using a device ID of HPC1537A, which I did, and another suggested
making sure the PSEUDO path was configured. I have configured the drive on
the SCSI path as 0(all jumpers in the back removed). I have down-loaded the
HPC1554A PDF manuals from HP, but they do not contain any testing info for
MPE/iX.
The system is responding with the following message during bootup.
