Maybe the fact that One of HP's arch-rivals (Sun) bought Netscape's server
products had some impact on that project.

I believe that IBM now officially supports Apache as their web server of
choice for at least one of their platforms too.

I think I recall reading recently that based on the latest surveys, Apache
runs more web servers on the Internet than all the other servers combined,
and is the only server to have gained "market share" in the most recent
period.
