AFAIK, there is no way to UPDATE from 4.0 to 6.0 directly. You have to do one of two ways :

1) INSTALL 6.0 on your system and restore user files afterward (be careful not to erase any FOS/Subsys files !!!)
2) Update from 4.0 to 5.0 or 5.5, then update to 6.0.
