Meant to reply all, but I just did a reply.

One quick correct is the adjusted subnet mask I quoted was not quite
correct, it should read 255.255.252.0 and not as shown in my last reply.

FYI,
Changing the subnet mask as suggested (255.255.255.252) has done the trick.
I can connect from the .2 range, others can connect from the .0 range, and
the 3000 can still print to the printers in the .0 range.

Life is good again.

Thanks.

Is your "legacy" network 192.168.0.0/24 or 192.168.0.0/16 (i.e., what is
your
subnet mask? The 3000 will "assume" 192.168.0.0/24)

You'll need to change your subnet mask if you want to treat this as one flat
network. You have (network, subnet mask) and you will need:

192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 (probably your old settings)
192.168.0.0 255.255.254.0 (would let you hand out 192.168.1.x)
192.168.0.0 255.255.252.0 (will let you go out to 192.168.3.x)
