Yep, this topic (hp3000.com) has come up before and it really
irks me.

  DIS Research grabbed the HP3000.COM, HP9000.COM,
DIS-RESEARCH.COM, and who knows how many more domain
names and pointed every one of them to the same server.  That
in itself isn't too bad, but that fact that if you go there, you will
not see the 3000 or MPE mentioned ANYWAY on their site!  The
only thing I saw talked about OS wise was NT and HP-UX.  For
a "hp3000.com" web site, you would expect to see the character
string "3000" show up someplace on their pages!
