your mode parameter).

I assume that you know the entry is actually there because of a serial
read of the master.  It may be that the specific entry is a secondary and
is located on the wrong synonym chain.  In this instance, a serial search
will uncover the entry but a calculated read will not.

By chance is MDX enabled for this master set?

How are you removing the record? And following the removal, how are you
restoring the entry: Are you re-adding it using your application or perhaps
QUERY; or are you restoring the database from a backup?
