If you trust your data with third party backups, I'm sure you can trust
the rest of your system with it. If I were worried about my third party
backup software, I surely wouldn't back up my data with it.
I *like* to have a full system backup before installing any patches, but
may settle for less (a partial back to the most recent full for instance).
However, for upgrading to a new version of the OS like 5.0, I have to have
a full backup period.
As for configuring a printer with nmmgr, it's not difficult, but perhaps
someone has a cookbook document rather than me trying to type it in from
memory.
