Ray,

I know both mpe and the as/400 and find the methodology similar as far as
learning the in and outs. Get an IBM Redbook and you will learn alot
quickly. The as400 is menu driven.

Subject: Migrating from MPE

Hi all,

Along with trying to pick up UNIX, I thought I'd see about the AS400
(iseries) too (they have classes here at the tech college). I was wondering
if anyone else who has MPE as their foundation/background has tried to learn
the AS400 OS, and if so, what were some of the major pitfalls.

Thanks,

Ray Shahan
