Subject: [HP3000-L] DDS2
All,
A HP3000's DDS-2 DAT tape drive failed this morning. It marked two brand new DAT tapes as "bad", even though they are really not bad.I just unwrapped them this morning, put them in the tape drive, and they were rejected. It is the tape drive that is at fault and not the tapes.
Is there a way "unmark" those tapes and return them to service?
Also: Any idea where I can buy a replacement internal HP DAT tape drive?
-John
