Recently, one of our Corporate I/S guys asked me if the HP3000
could support an external domain name which would be different
from the local HP3000 node name.

     Well, the answer is yes.

All I had to was change the external domain name in the NMMGR
NS-Configuration Screen from the local HP3000 node name to
reflect the new name. The new name IS different from the node
name in the NMMGR Main Screen. This new name allows the HP3000
to fit the standard naming convention set up by our corporate I/S
while keeping the node name which the HP uses for its proprietary
     communications.

     Hopefully this helps someone else!
