I think that the cross-section is a good one... OTOH

The availability of statistics will not be made until given the green light.
Even there, that information needs to be made public, by those that make
those decisions (Interex, HP, the SIEC, etc).  I can't and won't do that
until given the green light.  After I voted, I've been looking at the Top-20
and they change daily -- so until all the votes are in, one can't really
make a determination.

I will say though - that we should have as many people casting ballots as
possible.  The bigger the response, the better handle we would have on what
the users want to see in terms of improvement and enhancement.
