We have an HP3000 967SX and are running MPE/iX 5.0

RELEASE: C.50.02 MPE/iX HP31900 B.79.06 USER VERSION: C.50.02

We also are using NBSPOOL to move our spoolfiles to our network printers
and perform other 'spoolfile management tasks'. One of those tasks is to
purge any spoolfiles that have less than 3 records in them, the assumption
being that they are empty.

Twice in the last month the nbspool process deleted $stdlist files that had
at least a few dozen records in them. The purge command operates *only* on
spoolfiles that are in the *ready* state and QUEST is telling me that they
have not had any reports of their software purging any spoolfiles that do
get selected using the specified criteria.

Has any other site that is using nbspool encountered the above situation?

Is it possible for a spoolfile to get in the ready state before its 'eof'
is updated?

Thanks
