Steven,  the Boeing software (DIRK included) is written to check the
version of the OS.  We've done this because some of the programs use the
AIF and it was felt as "FREE" software the using organizations should first
verify that it works in a non-production environment.   I.E after doing an
upgrade,  run REFEREE to change the version number of the TECHXL programs
to allow them to run on MPEiX 6.5,   get into DIRK try a using the LISTD,
LISTU, LISTA commands, etc.  If it works, you are finished.  If not you'd
need to go back to Interex and see if an update is available.

Referee does support wildcards,  so you can easily change all of the techxl
programs to run on MPEiX 6.5 with just one command.
