In addition to all the other good suggestions here's another:

Do you have a file equation pointing at your test database such that the
program is working but not on production data that you're checking?

That's from the files of "been there, done that" :-)

I'd second Gavin's recommendation of contacting your support provider
for some help if none of these suggestions pan out.
