We are using the sendmail system downloaded from the jazz server. The
remote site where this runs is has just migrated from a 918 to an a400. And
they are receiving the following problem.
Once a request to email through sendmail is made how do you get it to cancel
it? I have a job, which emails data to an external address and copies to an
internal address. The copy to internal is received ok but the external fails
with a data format error. When sendmail retries 5 minutes later it also
resends the internal copy as well as failing to send the external email. The
internal mail address is receiving a copy every 5 minutes how can I control
it?
I suggested that he split this into 2 emails but the remote system manager
would like to stop this mail message from trying more than 'n' times. What
setting in the configuration file do I need to change?
