The HP 3000 Newswire has been around for several years and is well
respected. It is published by Ron Seybold, formerly associated with the
HP Chronicle. You may recall a considerable amount of discussion on
this list following the 2003(?) HP World conference, when Interex, at
the request of HP, tried to exclude Ron from the HP Management
Roundtable. Most of us were especially incensed that Ron was the member
of the press who was most publicly affected, because we have a great
deal of respect for his journalistic credentials, his careful and
accurate reporting, and his interest in and loyalty to the HP 3000.

Subject: newswire

Hi,

I just saw a copy of hp3000 newswire (some name like that). I read
quite a
bit and was surprised to see a few familiar names until I realised it
was a
page or two about this list

But I've not seen much mention of the magazine on this list - is it not
very
popular or something? I couldn't even find out much about it when doing
a
search on google in this group/list. Is it new? What's the story?

I'm interested as it's the nearest I've got to being famous - mentioned
as
someone who knows bugger all about SPL! Not sure that I should be
happy.
;-)

Cheers

Peter
