Distributing Qedit thousands of customers around the world takes months. The
main distribution to all customers, UK and North America alike, will happen in
mid to late October. In the meantime, the 4.8 version IS available on demand
for those people who need the new version sooner.

Because the newsletter comes out approximately every two months, it's always
tough to decide when to announce new software releases. Announce too early and
we disappoint users if the schedule slips. Announce too late and it's old
news. In the case of Qedit 4.8 it was an easy decision because the software in
fact is available, even if it's not widely distributed yet. If a local
distributor does not yet have the new version, he can ask Robelle to ship you
a tape.
