This is absolute nonsense. You Americans (not all of you) must surely see
that from birth you have been brain washed to believe that Communism is evil
and Capitalism is good. This is just simplistic rubbish.

Communism is not some forced method living, it's a political ideal.
Christianity is a forced method of living as it has a moral rule book to
live by. Communism just promotes the idea that people are equal and that
wealth should be distributed evenly. It doesn't stop you going to the shops
or watching a film. Unfortunately your only understanding of Communism is
from the propaganda of the cold war. The USSR was run by a ruthless
dictator, in the same way many other non-communist countries were/are run
(Zimbabwe, Iraq, Chile, etc). Dictators are the ones that tried to control
the lives of everyday people, not communism.

Socialism and it's extreme form, Communism, comes from the autocracies in
Europe where the rich few had all the power and wealth. They weren't
elected or subject to the same laws as the common people. As a result the
people rebelled and started the principles of equality and the sharing of
wealth, two very good principles.

Jay Maynard than comes out with this incredible statement:

"This applies to terrorism as well. I don't *care* why they're attacking the
US. I only care that they stop, and that they not be rewarded for the
attack. Trying to "understand their grievances", as the cowardly left would
have us do, is rewarding them for their behavior, and that I cannot
countenance."

Terrorist are only terrorists when they attack Americans and their allies,
strangely the same terrorists were freedom fighters when they worked for the
US against Russia in Afghanistan. You can't have it both ways, the Allies
are perceived as terrorists by the Iraqis and other nations in the world.

Your logic is exactly what fuels the meaningless attacks in Israel and
Palestine. Tit for tat every day, for all time. You will never stop
terrorism with violence, then only way is to try and understand why these
people give their lives to kill people. You realise if the America
government had never treated Bin Laden in the way that it did, then 911
would never of happened.

Way of center on this one Wirt!

Communism is a 'forced' method of living

"True" Christianity is strictly a voluntary form of living.

There is NO comparison, they are on opposite sides.

The question then is what is 'true' Christianity?

Jay writes:

> There is no merit to communism. None whatsoever.

No merit whatsoever, other than it has been a part of American life and
history from our very beginnings. Shaker, Quaker, Mennonite, Amish and
other
religious communities have practiced a very real form of communism from
a time
before the country was founded until the present. Indeed, engaging in
some form of
communism is essentially dictated if you practice and do devoutly
believe in
any traditional form of Christianity.

Communism is of course a very real part of Judaism as well, as it is
every
other major world religion. Israel was founded wholly around the idea of
a
socialist philosophy, the kibbutzim in Israel being the most visible
manisfestations of those original ideals. Some countries, such as
Bhutan, have actually
successfully long ago integrated the universal principles of communism
not only
into the workings of its government but into the lives of its people as
well --
and the people of Bhutan seem to be among the most well-adjusted,
happiest
people on the planet.
