I just returned from a site where we installed three DLT7000 units on a HP
3000 Series 997. The DLT drives were part of the SMART Family Enclosures
(product # C4318S with option 105). The additional unit was product #
C6375A. They attach via fast-wide SCSI. I am not sure of they are the same
as the HP SureStore DLT's, but they work just fine.

Regards,

Subject: DLT on 3000

The ADIC DLT I have on my 3000 is close to the end of warranty and I am
looking to get a second one anyway.

Anyone know if the HP Surestore DLT can be used on a 3000. The compatibility
web page for that item does not mention MPE. (I should note that the
compatibility web page indicates it was last updated TUE 01 JAN, 1970
00:00:00 GMT!)

thx
