Ahh, but you see, Carly said that she studied the situation carefully for a
long time, studied why other mergers failed and is confident that she will
overcome all those problems.

Who do you trust more ? The highly paid executive parachuted at the helm of a
fortune 500 computer company with salary in the millions, or some reporter
who doesn't get paid much but has been following the industry forever ? Of
course, Wall Street trusts the highly paid CEO. If someone can draw a salary
worth tens if not hundreds of millions, then surely that person MUST be more
experienced and knowledgeable.

I have to wonder though how HP will be able to spin its focusing on IA64 when
IA64 doesn't turn out anywhere to "industry standard".
