Does the server side of the game work as long as the PC is not in
the picture? This can be tested with the smbclient utility from either
inside the Shell or from the CI prompt...
:setvar hppath, hppath+",/usr/local/samba/bin"
:smbclient "-L localhost"
:smbclient "-L hp917"
:smbclient "\\hp917\sambadoc -N -c dir"
If this works, then SMBD seems to react as expected and the next
step would probably be to examine if the name resolution on the PC
side works properly (or maybe simply add the name hp917 with its
associated IP address into the LMHOSTS file).
Oh, what flavor of Windows is the PC side? They're not quite equal.
Lars.
