Another option is to use 'hidden' field delimiters to create fields and
set the field's initial value of the text you want to display. The you
can use the formspec field attributes. Be sure to set these fields to
display only so the cursor does not stop at them.

Not in a human readable attribute like fields. But otherwise very easy
to
do. You can type any escape sequence you would like into the fixed text.
You
can even type in the escape sequences to switch to HP line drawing
character
sets to draw nice boxes and stuff around things.

Note: You may need to define your screens as 132 character rather than
80.
The escape sequences take up some of the 80 characters, but don't
actually
display. So if screen is only defined as 80 characters wide you can not
type
the full width line if non-displaying characters are included.
