I am developing a Delphi application that will communicate with another
program on the same machine (via DDE) and also with an HP3000 via ODBC.
The program will run continuously with a minimal UI. Although I have
plenty of traditional (i.e. procedural) programming experience, I am new
to Delphi and to PC programming in general. I'm looking for some design
tips that would help me take advantages of Delphi's features and also
help me break out of the procedural approach.

If anyone has expertise that they would like to share, please reply via
private email as the particulars may not be of interest to the HP3000-L
community in general.

Thanks in advance,
