you know why the date was like that, yes?
but anyhow...i seem to remember getting the same system abort for the same reason (trying to make a big time adjustment). i don't think you have anything to worry about. - d

Subject: [HP3000-L] system abort
Hi all,
Am having a problem on our 949/400, it has been sitting for awhile but seemed to boot fine till just after the isl prompt. Somehow the date had re-set itself to Aug 29 1953 and when I changed it I immediately got a system abort 1328 from subsy-110.
However on re-boot the date is correct and the system boots normally.
The system is on 7.5 pp1, anyone shine some light into my darkness?
Thanks
